During 7 months, I'm training young IT professionals in the art of web design and development. From basic HTML and CSS over to photoshop on to professional PHP development.

As my last task at Calibrate, for a short time, I managed documentation and training of bilingual journalists and political cooperatives, who will provide the Drupal portal of this presidentship with content.

Analysis used to create a workplan, based on the estimations of drupal developers. This analysis was used by a business developer to reevaluate the project.

On this problematic project I took over from my predecessor and was told that the project still needed to be delivered inside of the budget constraints.
After a re-analysis I fixed some basic rules together with the client, after which the development was planned again and cut into different stages.

At Calibrate.be I was responsible for guiding the iDTV team. All aspects of a floor/team/project manager were present: Creating SLA contracts, training people, making plannings, client meetings, technical and functional analysis, general project coordination and much more

Over a period of 2 years, I worked for RTBF as a lead iDTV developer, team leader and project manager.
I have created and managed projects for them that involved automated iDTV systems with CMS functionality.

A website that aims to index all T-shirts available on the internet. Connected to different types of affilate systems, this website is capable of collecting T-shirts in different ways. RSS, file transfer and web crawling are some of the functionalities.

As project manager, I guided the development of iDTV applications for MTV and TMF. I made the planning, managed incidents and made deadlines. I communicated with the client and translated his wishes in to a working plan that was suitable for all parties.

Via the Belgacom thumbnail channel it is possible to look for another TV channel and zap to it.
The layout of this system is coupled to the layout CMS of the Bluezone application.

By using this portal, international incident manager of the European commission can manager their subject in the land where they are residing.
It is possible to search for news articles and court reports of many years back in time.
With a widget system, users can control the layout of their page.

When pressing the blue button on your remote, whilst watching using Belgacom TV, all kinds of services are available from the bluezone menu.
This menu is fully configurable. Items can be scheduled and the system is language aware. The CMS is created in flex and uses AMFPHP to communicate to the database.

Using this application, RTL viewer can get to know digital television. Browsing trough an attractive interface, viewer are notified of the latest VOD items that can be rented via RTL.

On 11TV, soccer fanatics can answer a simple question and win prizes. Belgacom asked to deliver a CMS for this, where it's possible to add a game round, add questions and answers and add prizes to them.
The frontend part consists out of an iDTV application made in specific technologies.

An application that allows Belgian viewers of Belgacom TV to order extra TV channels.
This application is location-aware, so french speaking viewers see french TV channels as their first options.

PCwinkels.be is a much visited website where users can look for a computer store or repairman in their neighbourhood. Store owners also have the option to add promotions and more.

The Belgacom VOD showroom allows user to browse rental movies by their DVD cover. The movie can be rented and viewed immediately with a few button presses.

Working at Belgacom TV, I was responsible for the applications in the "Walled garden". Yellow pages, white pages, lottery results, weather forecasts were some of these which I developed. Working closely with a designer I analysed all aspects of these iDTV applications.

An automatic system where Belgian teachers can register with their unique teachers code.
After registration, a wordpress blog is created for them, they can immediately log in and start blogging.

I codeveloped the main portal made for lecturers, by lecturers. I expanded and enhanced the code, added new features and did some maintenance.

Module for the dokeos E-learning platform. In this module, users can create new surveys and other questionnaires. They can add questions and question types and they can follow up the results in real time.
